SKYLINE BOARD BRIEFS
October 2024
The Hickory County R-I School (Skyline) Board of Education met on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, for their regular monthly meeting. The board voted to approve the recommended MCE Board policy updates. Teanna Bryan was approved as the Foster Care Liaison, and Kelli Cheek was approved as the homeless coordinator. Commendations were issued to Shawna Bybee, Janet Edge, Chelsey Caselman, the volleyball team and anyone who helped with raising $4400 for the student from Buffalo with cancer. Commendations were also issued to Tony and Jamie Dampier, Elementary Kitchen Staff, Tim Pratt, Susan Swem, Jill Blankenship, Teanna Bryan, and Jason Swearingin. In closed session, the board voted to approve Jason Koele as junior high baseball coach. The board voted to approve the hiring of Haylie Henry as part-time kitchen staff. The board voted to accept the resignation of Sarah Brown as assistant volleyball coach. The next meeting is set for Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 7:00 pm in the high school library.
