School Community Information
Skyline is made up of 4 small communities of Urbana, Cross Timbers, Tunas, and Preston. The school sits on highway 65 and is not located in one of the 4 towns, making for a unique environment. Skyline school is the epicenter of the community. A rich history of excellence in academic, co-curricular and athletic achievement sets us apart from other neighboring and regional schools our size, and attracts former graduates to come back and either settle in the area or teach in the district.
Skyline is a 3 time National Blue Ribbon and MO Gold Star, twice for our Elementary school and our newly recognized Middle School. All three buildings were recognized in 2021 as US News top schools in the state of Missouri and annually out perform our neighboring schools and conference schools in academic performance.
Skyline is also home to several state championships in varying sports and recently inducted into the Missouri Hall of Fame - Skyline Lady Tigers Basketball Team. We provide the opportunity to participate in several robust organizations which have performed or competed at the national level as well.
